BIOS thanks you for purchasing a BIOS Horticulture product. We know it will deliver years of reliable performance and customer satisfaction.
Limited Warranty
Pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in this Limited Warranty, Biological Innovation and Optimization Systems, LLC (“BIOS”) warrants its BIOS Horticulture LED light fixture (the “Product”) against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of seven (7) years and five (5) years for all BIOS Horticulture power supplies or Under Canopy light fixtures from the original purchaser’s date of purchase.
BIOS Horticulture LED light fixtures are under a 7-Year Limited Warranty
BIOS makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to the Product other than as set forth in this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty and the remedies set forth herein are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension, or addition to this Limited Warranty.
BIOS Horticulture Under Canopy LED light fixtures are under a 5-Year Limited Warranty
BIOS Horticulture Power Supplies (PSUs) are under a 5-Year Limited Warranty
Who is covered:
Only the original purchaser of the Product (the “Purchaser”) is covered under this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty is not transferable to any subsequent purchasers or owners of the Product.
What is covered:
This Limited Warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship in the Product during the Warranty Period that result in the Product’s failure to operate.
What is not covered:
This Limited Warranty covers only defects arising under normal use and do not include malfunctions or failures resulting from or relating to misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, submersion, Product alteration or modification, electrical power, electric spikes, power surges, usage not in accordance with Product instructions, usage inconsistent with the Product’s intended purpose, usage in a non-standard environment, usage outside of the Product’s specified operating range (as set forth in the Product’s spec sheet), exposure to excess moisture, fire, improper packing or shipping (such claims must be presented to the carrier), acts of nature, acts of God, or installation or repairs made by anyone other than BIOS or a BIOS-authorized service provider.
This Limited Warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from the installation or removal of this Product or any other cause which does not relate directly to a defect in materials, and/or workmanship of this Product. This Limited Warranty does not cover cartons, packaging, equipment enclosures, cables or other accessories used in conjunction with the Product.
Without limiting any other exclusion herein, BIOS does not warrant that the Product, including, without limitation, the technology included in the Product, will not become obsolete or that such items are or will remain compatible with any other product or technology, including those with which the Product is typically used.
BIOS is not liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage that may result from the use of, or inability to use, the Product. BIOS is not responsible for any loss of work or downtime caused by a Product requiring service. Under no circumstances shall BIOS be liable for any loss, cost, expense, inconvenience, or damage exceeding the purchase price actually paid for the Product.
BIOS will not be held responsible for typographical errors on sales receipts, repair tickets, or on our website. BIOS makes every effort to make sure all information on our website is correct.
No Issue Found:
If no issue is found with the product, BIOS will return the product to the customer. The customer will prepay the shipping cost for this return.
How long this coverage lasts:
This Limited Warranty lasts for seven (7) years for all BIOS Horticulture LED fixtures and five (5) years for all BIOS Horticulture power supplies from the date of the original purchaser’s purchase of the Product (the “Warranty Period”).
Notice Regarding Your BIOS Order:
Please promptly verify all items were received in good order. Upon receiving your product shipment, please report any item shortages and/or shipping damage to BIOS within 3 business days of delivery.
We recommend counting all items as soon as they are received to avoid further issues, as we cannot guarantee resolution or replacement after 3 business days from the date of delivery. For items received that were damaged in transit, we require photos that clearly show the damage from delivery. BIOS will open a Case with the shipper and seek immediate resolution on your behalf.
Warranty Claims
BIOS Resellers:
As a BIOS Reseller, you are responsible for submitting a claim for defective or damaged BIOS products on behalf of your customer.
For warranty related issues within 90 days of receipt of BIOS product:
Customer is to contact BIOS Customer Support: help@bioslighting.com or their BIOS Sales Representative. A Warranty Case will be created, and a BIOS technician will follow up via phone or email to review the claim and assist in additional troubleshooting.
If the issue cannot be resolved via tech support, the BIOS technician will escalate the Warranty Case for a product replacement. If an RMA is deemed necessary, BIOS will cover the shipping cost to ship the product to BIOS for analysis.
The Customer is responsible for the safe packaging of the returned product. Any additional damage caused in shipping, due to improper packaging, will be the customer’s responsibility. (We recommend taking photos of the package prior to shipping.) Upon receipt of the RMA/Warrantied Product, a BIOS technician will test and evaluate the product.
For warranty related issues after 90 days of receipt of BIOS product:
Customer is to contact BIOS Customer Support: help@bioslighting.com or their BIOS Sales Representative. A Warranty Case will be created, and a BIOS technician will follow up via phone or email to review the claim and assist in additional troubleshooting.
If the issue cannot be resolved via tech support and falls under warranty guidelines, the BIOS technician will escalate the Warranty Case for a product replacement. A replacement will be sent, and the customer is responsible for submitting payment for the prorated replacements and shipping costs within 14 business days. BIOS will invoice the amount due.
If an RMA is deemed necessary, the customer will be responsible for shipping costs and shipping the product to BIOS for analysis, within 14 business days of receiving their replacement(s). The customer is responsible for the safe packaging of the returned product. Any additional damage caused in shipping, due to improper packaging, will be the customer’s responsibility. (We recommend taking photos of the package prior to shipping.) Upon receipt of the RMA/Warrantied Product, a BIOS technician will test and evaluate the product.
BIOS Remedy on RMA/Warrantied Product
The choice to issue a pro-rated product replacement credit to the Customer based on the submission and evaluation of the RMA/Warrantied Product is solely up to BIOS and is made at BIOS’ sole discretion.
If BIOS decides to issue a pro-rated product replacement credit to the Customer, the credit will be issued in the amount of the original purchase price, less depreciation to be determined based on the time that has elapsed since the Product’s original purchase date, in accordance with the following formula:
Pro-rated Product Replacement Credit for BIOS Horticulture LED light fixtures under our 7-Year Limited Warranty
Credit ($) = Invoiced Purchase Price ($) x (unexpired original Warranty / 84) for BIOS Horticulture LED light fixtures.
Pro-rated Product Replacement Credit for BIOS Horticulture power supplies or Under Canopy LED light fixtures under our 5-Year Limited Warranty
Credit ($) = Invoiced Purchase Price ($) x (unexpired original Warranty / 60) for BIOS Horticulture power supplies.
This credit will be applied to the cost of your replacement.
The warranty terms for the repaired product or the replacement product purchased will assume the same guidelines as the original item; seven (7) years for all BIOS Horticulture LED light fixtures and five (5) years for all BIOS Horticulture power supplies from the original purchase date as stated in the original Sales Order.
What BIOS will not do under this Limited Warranty:
If this product is returned to BIOS or any other party authorized to repair the Product, the Product must be insured during shipment, with the insurance and shipping charges prepaid by Purchaser. If the Product is returned uninsured, the Purchaser assumes all risks of loss or damage during shipment. Additionally, BIOS will not be responsible for any costs related to the removal or re-installation of the Product from or into any installation, any setting up of the Product, any adjustment of user controls, or any programming required for a specific installation of this Product.
DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTY
THE MAXIMUM LIABILITY OF BIOS UNDER THIS LIMITED WARRANTY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE ACTUAL PURCHASE PRICE PAID BY THE PURCHASER FOR THE PRODUCT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIOS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DIRECT, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES RESULTING FROM ANY BREACH OF WARRANTY OR CONDITION, OR UNDER ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THIS LIMITED WARRANTY AND THE REMEDIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE EXCLUSIVE AND IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, REMEDIES AND CONDITIONS, WHETHER ORAL OR WRITTEN, EXPRESS, OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BIOS SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. IF BIOS CANNOT LAWFULLY DISCLAIM OR EXCLUDE IMPLIED WARRANTIES UNDER APPLICABLE LAW, THEN ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES COVERING THIS PRODUCT, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL APPLY TO THIS PRODUCT AS PROVIDED UNDER APPICABLE LAW.

Other Conditions
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may have other rights which vary from country to country or state to state. This limited warranty is void if the Product was not sold or distributed to you by BIOS or an authorized BIOS reseller. How to Obtain Post-Warranty Repair
For repair service that is requested for any Products with expired warranties, the RMA procedure is the same as outlined above; however, Purchaser is solely responsible for all charges, including but not limited to shipping (both ways), parts, and labor. Payment in full to BIOS is required before any post-warranty service is performed.

Limited Warranty Pursuant to the terms and conditions set forth in this Limited Warranty, Biological Innovation and Optimization Systems, LLC (“BIOS”) warrants its refurbished Horticulture LED Fixture and power supply – either integrated or remote (collectively known as the “Product”) against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the original purchaser’s date of purchase. BIOS makes no other warranty, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or conformity to any representation or description, with respect to the Product other than as set forth in this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty and the remedies set forth herein are exclusive and in lieu of all others, oral or written, expressed or implied. No reseller, agent or employee is authorized to make any modification, extension or addition to this Limited Warranty.

How long this coverage lasts
This Limited Warranty lasts for one (1) year from the date of the original purchaser’s purchase of the Product (the “Warranty Period”).
What Purchaser should do in the event of Product failure
In the event of a Product failure that you believe to be covered by this Limited Warranty, please contact BIOS directly. After preliminarily assessing your warranty claim, you will be provided with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and with a Product mailing address. The RMA is valid for 10 days from date of issuance and must be affixed to any Product that is returned for warranty service. Returns will not be accepted without an RMA.
To return the Product for warranty service, pack the Product in its original (or other well- protected) box, with the RMA number written clearly on the outside of the package, and ship the Product, pre-paid by the Purchaser, to the address provided by BIOS customer service.
What BIOS will do
BIOS will provide Purchaser with one of the following three remedies to whatever extent BIOS shall deem necessary to satisfy a claim properly submitted under this Limited Warranty. The choice of which remedy to provide is solely up to BIOS and is made at BIOS’ sole discretion.
- Repair any defective parts free of charge to Purchaser for parts and labor. Purchaser is responsible to pay for all shipping costs (outbound and inbound). BIOS reserves the right to substitute functionally equivalent new or serviceable used parts. All parts replaced by BIOS or its agent become the sole property of
- Replace the Product with a direct replacement or with a similar product deemed by BIOS to perform substantially the same function as the original Product. BIOS reserves the right to replace the Product with functionally equivalent new or serviceable used products. All parts replaced by BIOS or its agent become the sole property of
- During the first 90 days after purchase, a 100% credit will be provided to Purchaser. After 90 days, BIOS will Issue a credit to Purchaser in the amount of the original purchase price, less depreciation to be determined based on the time that has elapsed since the Product’s purchase date, in accordance with the following formula:
- Credit ($) = Invoiced Purchase Price ($) x (unexpired original Warranty / 12 months).
- To illustrate, if you purchased the Product for $1,000 on September 1, 2020, and after submitting a warranty claim you return the Product to BIOS on March 1, 2021 (six months following your purchase date), you will receive a credit in the amount of $500.
- Any credit issued here under may be used only (i) by the original purchaser, and (ii) for a future BIOS Product
- There can be no assurance the Product returned will then be available; the Purchaser’s credit may only be used for BIOS products available at the time the credit is
